²³⁽²²⁾Thus saith Hashem, Let not the chacham (wise man) glory in his chochmah, neither let the gibbor (mighty man) glory in his gevurah (might), let not the oisher (rich man) glory in his riches;

²⁴⁽²³⁾But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am Hashem Who exercises chesed, mishpat, and tzedakah, on ha’aretz; for in these things I delight, saith Hashem.

²³This is what the Lord says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom^(A)
    or the strong boast of their strength^(B)
    or the rich boast of their riches,^(C)
²⁴but let the one who boasts boast^(D) about this:
    that they have the understanding to know^(E) me,
that I am the Lord,^(F) who exercises kindness,^(G)
    justice and righteousness^(H) on earth,
    for in these I delight,”
