¹⁹ But I was like a gentle ^(A)lamb led to the slaughter;
And I did not know that they had ^(B)devised plots against me, saying,
“Let’s destroy the tree with its ^[a]fruit,
And ^(C)let’s cut him off from the ^(D)land of the living,
So that his ^(E)name will no longer be remembered.”

²³ But You, Lord, know
All their ^[a]deadly schemes against me;
^(A)Do not ^[b]forgive their wrongdoing
Or wipe out their sin from Your sight.
But may they be ^[c](B)overthrown before You;
Deal with them in the ^(C)time of Your anger!

¹³ Because of the sins of her ^(A)prophets
And the wrongdoings of her priests,
Who have shed in her midst
The ^(B)blood of the righteous,
¹⁴ They wandered, ^(C)blind, in the streets;
They were defiled with ^(D)blood,
Such that no one could touch their ^(E)garments.
