13 then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Behold I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land—the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—with (A)drunkenness! 14 I will (B)dash them against each other, both the (C)fathers and the sons together,” declares the Lord. “I will (D)not show pity nor be sorry nor have compassion so as not to destroy them.”’”
15 Listen and give heed, do not be (E)haughty,
For the Lord has spoken.

13 then tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says: I am going to fill with drunkenness(A) all who live in this land, including the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets and all those living in Jerusalem. 14 I will smash them one against the other, parents and children alike, declares the Lord. I will allow no pity(B) or mercy or compassion(C) to keep me from destroying(D) them.’”

15 Hear and pay attention,
do not be arrogant,
