¹² Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, ^(A)and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them ^(B)by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

³⁷ I will ^(A)terrify ^(B)Elam before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, ^(C)my fierce anger, declares the Lord. ^(D)I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them,

^2 (A)A third part you shall burn in the fire ^(B)in the midst of the city, ^(C)when the days of the siege are completed. And a third part you shall take and strike with the sword all around the city. ^(D)And a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and ^(E)I will unsheathe the sword after them.

^12 (A)A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in your midst; ^(B)a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; ^(C)and a third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them.
