¹⁵ Lord, you understand;
    remember me and care for me.
    Avenge me on my persecutors.^(A)
You are long-suffering^(B)—do not take me away;
    think of how I suffer reproach for your sake.^(C)

¹⁸ Let my persecutors be put to shame,
    but keep me from shame;
let them be terrified,
    but keep me from terror.
Bring on them the day of disaster;
    destroy them with double destruction.^(A)

¹² Lord Almighty, you who examine the righteous
    and probe the heart and mind,^(A)
let me see your vengeance^(B) on them,
    for to you I have committed^(C) my cause.
