² And it shall be that when they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’ then you are to tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord:

⁹ He who ^(A)dwells in this city will die by the ^(B)sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who goes out and falls away to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as booty.

¹⁷ Moreover, ^(A)I will send on you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you of children; ^(B)plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”

¹¹ “Thus says the Lord ^[a]God, ‘Clap your hand, ^(A)stamp your foot and say, “^(B)Alas, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by ^(C)sword, famine and plague! ¹² He who is ^(D)far off will die by the plague, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus will I ^(E)spend My wrath on them.
