5 Thus says the Lord: Do not go into a house of mourning; do not go there to lament or grieve for them. For I have withdrawn my peace from this people—oracle of the Lord—my love and my compassion.(A) 6 They shall die, the great and the lowly, in this land, unburied and unlamented.[a] No one will gash themselves or shave their heads for them.(B) 7 They will not break bread with the bereaved to offer consolation for the dead; they will not give them the cup of consolation to drink over the death of father or mother.(C)

New International Version
5 For this is what the Lord says: “Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity(A) from this people,” declares the Lord. 6 “Both high and low will die in this land.(B) They will not be buried or mourned,(C) and no one will cut(D) themselves or shave(E) their head for the dead. 7 No one will offer food(F) to comfort those who mourn(G) for the dead—not even for a father or a mother—nor will anyone give them a drink to console(H) them.
