²⁵ kings and princes will enter through the gates of this city. They will sit on the throne of David;^(A) they will ride in chariots and on horses^(B) with their officials, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem. This city will be inhabited forever.

² You are to say, ‘Hear the word of the Lord, king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David^(A)—you, your officers, and your people who enter these gates.

³⁰ This is what the Lord says:

¹⁶ But this is what the Lord says concerning the king sitting on David’s throne^(A) and concerning all the people living in this city—that is, concerning your brothers who did not go with you into exile.
