²⁷ But ^(A)if you do not listen to Me, to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying a load and coming in through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then ^(B)I will set fire to its gates, and it will ^(C)devour the palaces of Jerusalem and ^(D)not go out.”’”

¹³ But the house of Israel ^(A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, ^(B)which, if ^[a]a person ^[b]follows them, then he will live by them; and they greatly profaned My ^(C)Sabbaths. Then I ^[c]resolved to ^(D)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.

²⁴ because they had not ^[a]complied with My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My Sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were ^[b]on the idols of their fathers.
