12 This is what I will do to this place, says the Lord, and to those who live here: I will make this city like Topheth. 13 The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will become defiled—all the houses on whose rooftops they have burned incense to all the army of the heavens and poured out drink offerings to other gods. They will all be defiled like that place Topheth.
14 Then Jeremiah came back from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, and he stood in the courtyard of the House of the Lord and said to all the people:

I will make this city like Topheth. 13 The houses(A) in Jerusalem and those of the kings of Judah will be defiled(B) like this place, Topheth—all the houses where they burned incense on the roofs(C) to all the starry hosts(D) and poured out drink offerings(E) to other gods.’”
14 Jeremiah then returned from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, and stood in the court(F) of the Lord’s temple and said to all the people,
