12 This is how I will treat this place and its inhabitants,” declares the Lord, “so as to make this city like Topheth. 13 The (A)houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be (B)defiled like the place Topheth, because of all the (C)houses on whose rooftops they burned [a]sacrifices to (D)all the heavenly [b]lights and (E)poured out drink offerings to other gods.”’”
14 Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the (F)courtyard of the Lord’s house and said to all the people,

I will make this city like Topheth. 13 The houses(A) in Jerusalem and those of the kings of Judah will be defiled(B) like this place, Topheth—all the houses where they burned incense on the roofs(C) to all the starry hosts(D) and poured out drink offerings(E) to other gods.’”
14 Jeremiah then returned from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, and stood in the court(F) of the Lord’s temple and said to all the people,
