13 “For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me, the (A)fountain of living waters,
And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.
14 “Is Israel (B)a servant?
Is he a homeborn slave?
Why is he plundered?
15 (C)The young lions roared at him, and growled;
They made his land waste;
His cities are burned, without inhabitant.

14 Is Israel a servant, a slave(C) by birth?
Why then has he become plunder?
15 Lions(D) have roared;
they have growled at him.
They have laid waste(E) his land;
his towns are burned(F) and deserted.(G)
