⁶ And you, ^(A)Pashhur, and all who live in your house will go into captivity; and you will enter Babylon, and there you will die and there you will be buried, you and all your ^(B)friends to whom you have ^(C)falsely prophesied.’”

³¹ “Send to ^(A)all the exiles, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord concerning ^(B)Shemaiah the Nehelamite, “Because Shemaiah has ^(C)prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has ^(D)made you trust in a lie,”

² “Son of man, prophesy against the ^(A)prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own ^[a]inspiration, ‘^(B)Listen to the word of the Lord! ³ Thus says the Lord ^[b]God, “Woe to the ^(C)foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have ^(D)seen nothing.

²² Because you ^(A)disheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him grief, but have ^[a](B)encouraged the wicked not to ^(C)turn from his wicked way and preserve his life,

²⁸ Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing ^(A)false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken.

³ And if anyone still ^(A)prophesies, then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, ‘You shall ^(B)not live, for you have spoken ^(C)falsely in the name of the Lord’; and his ^(D)father and mother who gave birth to him will pierce him through when he prophesies.
