15 Therefore thus says Yahweh of hosts concerning the prophets,
‘Behold, I am going to (A)feed them wormwood
And make them drink [a]poisoned water,
For from the prophets of Jerusalem
Pollution has gone forth into all the land.’”
16 Thus says Yahweh of hosts,
“(B)Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you.
They are (C)leading you into vanity;
They speak a (D)vision of their own heart,
Not (E)from the mouth of Yahweh.
17 They keep saying to those who (F)spurn Me,
‘Yahweh has said, “(G)You will have peace”’;
And as for everyone who walks in the (H)stubbornness of his own heart,
They say, ‘(I)Evil will not come upon you.’

15 Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says concerning the prophets:
“I will make them eat bitter food
and drink poisoned water,(A)
because from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness(B) has spread throughout the land.”
16 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“Do not listen(C) to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions(D) from their own minds,
not from the mouth(E) of the Lord.
17 They keep saying(F) to those who despise me,
‘The Lord says: You will have peace.’(G)
And to all who follow the stubbornness(H) of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm(I) will come to you.’
