Jeremiah 27:11-13
The Voice
11 However, any nation that will put its neck under the yoke of Babylon’s king and serve him will remain in their land. I will allow them to live there and to farm the land.’”
So declares the Eternal.
12 I delivered a similar message to King Zedekiah of Judah.
Jeremiah: Put your neck under the yoke of Babylon’s king. Serve him and his people so you and your people can live! 13 Why do you and your people insist on dying by war, famine, and disease? Do you not realize the Eternal has threatened any nation that refuses to serve the king of Babylon?
Jeremiah 27:11-13
New International Version
11 But if any nation will bow its neck under the yoke(A) of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let that nation remain in its own land to till it and to live(B) there, declares the Lord.”’”
12 I gave the same message to Zedekiah king of Judah. I said, “Bow your neck under the yoke(C) of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, and you will live.(D) 13 Why will you and your people die(E) by the sword, famine and plague(F) with which the Lord has threatened any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
