17 Hearken not unto them: serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city be laid waste?
18 But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem go not to Babylon.
19 For thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,

17 Do not listen(A) to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and you will live.(B) Why should this city become a ruin? 18 If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead(C) with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon. 19 For this is what the Lord Almighty says about the pillars, the bronze Sea,(D) the movable stands and the other articles(E) that are left in this city,
