Jeremiah 29:23-25
Living Bible
23 For these men have done a terrible thing among my people. They have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives and have lied in my name. I know, for I have seen everything they do, says the Lord.
24 And say this to Shemaiah the dreamer:[a] 25 The Lord, the God of Israel, says: You have written a letter to Zephaniah (son of Maaseiah) the priest, and sent copies to all the other priests and to everyone in Jerusalem.

- Jeremiah 29:24 Shemaiah the dreamer, literally, “Shemaiah the Nehelamite.” Nehelem was Shemaiah’s hometown, the name of which means “dreamer.” This seems to be another of the frequent puns in the prophetic books.

New International Version
23 For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery(A) with their neighbors’ wives, and in my name they have uttered lies—which I did not authorize. I know(B) it and am a witness(C) to it,” declares the Lord.
