¹⁰ to another miraculous powers,^(A) to another prophecy,^(B) to another distinguishing between spirits,^(C) to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,^[a](D) and to still another the interpretation of tongues.^[b]

²⁰ Do not treat prophecies^(A) with contempt ²¹ but test them all;^(B) hold on to what is good,^{(C) 22} reject every kind of evil.

²³ May God himself, the God of peace,^(D) sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul^(E) and body be kept blameless^(F) at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.^{(G) 24} The one who calls^(H) you is faithful,^(I) and he will do it.^(J)

²⁵ Brothers and sisters, pray for us.^{(K) 26} Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.^{(L) 27} I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.^(M)

²⁸ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.^(N)

² not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter^(A)—asserting that the day of the Lord^(B) has already come.^(C)
