Jeremiah 3:12-14
New Century Version
12 Go and speak this message toward the north:
‘Come back, unfaithful people of Israel,’ says the Lord.
‘I will stop being angry at you,
because I am full of mercy,’ says the Lord.
‘I will not be angry with you forever.
13 All you have to do is admit your sin—
that you turned against the Lord your God
and worshiped gods under every green tree
and didn’t obey me,’” says the Lord.
14 “Come back to me, you unfaithful children,” says the Lord, “because I am your master. I will take one person from every city and two from every family group, and I will bring you to Jerusalem.

12 Go, proclaim this message toward the north:(A)
“‘Return,(B) faithless(C) Israel,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will frown on you no longer,
for I am faithful,’(D) declares the Lord,
‘I will not be angry(E) forever.
13 Only acknowledge(F) your guilt—
you have rebelled against the Lord your God,
you have scattered your favors to foreign gods(G)
under every spreading tree,(H)
and have not obeyed(I) me,’”
declares the Lord.
14 “Return,(J) faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband.(K) I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion.
