21 And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is he that [a]hath had boldness to approach unto me? saith Jehovah. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23 Behold, the tempest of Jehovah, even his wrath, is gone forth, a [b]sweeping tempest: it shall burst upon the head of the wicked.

21 Their leader(A) will be one of their own;
their ruler will arise from among them.(B)
I will bring him near(C) and he will come close to me—
for who is he who will devote himself
to be close to me?’
declares the Lord.
22 “‘So you will be my people,(D)
and I will be your God.(E)’”
23 See, the storm(F) of the Lord
will burst out in wrath,
a driving wind swirling down
on the heads of the wicked.
