The Lord Will Bring Judah Home

23 The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, said:

I promise to set the people of Judah free and to lead them back to their hometowns. And when I do, they will once again say,

“We pray that the Lord
    will bless his home,
the sacred hill in Jerusalem
    where his temple stands.”

24 The people will live in Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah. Some will be farmers, and others will be shepherds. 25 Those who feel tired and worn out will find new life and energy,

23 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity,[a](A) the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The Lord bless(B) you, you prosperous city,(C) you sacred mountain.’(D) 24 People will live(E) together in Judah and all its towns—farmers and those who move about with their flocks.(F) 25 I will refresh the weary(G) and satisfy the faint.”(H)
