²⁹“In those days they will no longer say,
‘^(A)The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
^[a]But it is the children’s teeth that have become blunt.’

²⁹“In those days people will no longer say,

‘The parents^(A) have eaten sour grapes,
and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’^(B)

⁷Our ^(A)fathers sinned, and are gone;
It is we who have been burdened with the punishment for their wrongdoings.

⁷Our ancestors^(A) sinned and are no more,
and we bear their punishment.^(B)
