3 Yahweh appeared to [a]him from afar, saying,
“I have (A)loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore I have drawn you with (B)lovingkindness.
4 (C)Again I will build you, and you will be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
Again you will [b]take up your (D)tambourines
And go forth to the dances of those (E)celebrating.
5 Again you will (F)plant vineyards
On the [c]hills of Samaria;
The planters will plant
And will [d]enjoy them.

I have drawn(B) you with unfailing kindness.
4 I will build you up again,
and you, Virgin(C) Israel, will be rebuilt.(D)
Again you will take up your timbrels(E)
and go out to dance(F) with the joyful.(G)
5 Again you will plant(H) vineyards
on the hills of Samaria;(I)
the farmers will plant them
and enjoy their fruit.(J)
