31 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the [a]house of Israel (the Northern Kingdom) and with the house of Judah (the Southern Kingdom),(A) 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says the Lord. 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says the Lord, “I will put My law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant(A)
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant(B)
I made with their ancestors(C)
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,(D)
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband(E) to[a] them,[b]”
declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds(F)
and write it on their hearts.(G)
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.(H)
