33 “Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”—the Lord’s declaration. “I will put My teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. 34 No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’(A) for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them”—this is the Lord’s declaration. “For I will forgive their wrongdoing(B) and never again remember their sin.”(C)

35 This is what the Lord says:

The One who gives the sun for light by day,
the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night,
who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar(D)

    after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds(A)
    and write it on their hearts.(B)
I will be their God,
    and they will be my people.(C)
34 No longer will they teach(D) their neighbor,
    or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know(E) me,
    from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive(F) their wickedness
    and will remember their sins(G) no more.”

35 This is what the Lord says,

he who appoints(H) the sun
    to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
    to shine by night,(I)
who stirs up the sea(J)
    so that its waves roar(K)
    the Lord Almighty is his name:(L)
