33 “But this is the covenant that I will make[a] with the house of Israel after those days,” declares[b] Yahweh: “I will put my law in their inward parts and on their hearts[c] I will write it, and I will be to them God, and they themselves will be to me people. 34 And they will no longer teach each one his neighbor, or each one his brother, saying,[d] ‘Know Yahweh,’ for all of them will know me, from their smallest[e] and up to their greatest,”[f] declares[g] Yahweh, “for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember.”

35 Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for light by day, the regulations of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar—Yahweh of hosts is his name.

    after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds(A)
    and write it on their hearts.(B)
I will be their God,
    and they will be my people.(C)
34 No longer will they teach(D) their neighbor,
    or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know(E) me,
    from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive(F) their wickedness
    and will remember their sins(G) no more.”

35 This is what the Lord says,

he who appoints(H) the sun
    to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
    to shine by night,(I)
who stirs up the sea(J)
    so that its waves roar(K)
    the Lord Almighty is his name:(L)
