GOD’S WORD Translation
4 King Zedekiah of Judah will not escape from the Babylonians. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. He will talk to Nebuchadnezzar in person and look him in the eye. 5 Nebuchadnezzar will take Zedekiah to Babylon, and Zedekiah will stay there until I deal with him, declares the Lord. When you fight the Babylonians, you won’t win.’ ”

4 Zedekiah(A) king of Judah will not escape(B) the Babylonians[a](C) but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes. 5 He will take(D) Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will remain until I deal with him,(E) declares the Lord. If you fight against the Babylonians, you will not succeed.’”(F)
