4 Zedeki′ah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chalde′ans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye; 5 and he shall take Zedeki′ah to Babylon, and there he shall remain until I visit him, says the Lord; though you fight against the Chalde′ans, you shall not succeed’?”

4 Zedekiah(A) king of Judah will not escape(B) the Babylonians[a](C) but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes. 5 He will take(D) Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will remain until I deal with him,(E) declares the Lord. If you fight against the Babylonians, you will not succeed.’”(F)
