(A)Then all the princes of the king of Babylon came in and sat in the Middle Gate: Nergal-Sharezer, Samgar-Nebo, Sarsechim, [a]Rabsaris, Nergal-Sarezer, [b]Rabmag, with the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon.

(B)So it was, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, that they fled and went out of the city by night, by way of the king’s garden, by the gate between the two walls. And he went out by way of the [c]plain. But the Chaldean army pursued them and (C)overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. And when they had captured him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to (D)Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.

Then all the officials(A) of the king of Babylon came and took seats in the Middle Gate: Nergal-Sharezer of Samgar, Nebo-Sarsekim a chief officer, Nergal-Sharezer a high official and all the other officials of the king of Babylon. When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled; they left the city at night by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls,(B) and headed toward the Arabah.[a](C)

But the Babylonian[b] army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah(D) in the plains of Jericho. They captured(E) him and took him to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah(F) in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced sentence on him.
