Jeremiah 41:2-4
New American Standard Bible
2 Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him rose up, and (A)struck and killed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword and (B)put to death the one (C)whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land. 3 Ishmael also struck and killed all the Jews who were with him, that is with Gedaliah in Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.
4 Now it happened on the [a]next day after the killing of Gedaliah, when no one knew about it,

New International Version
2 Ishmael(A) son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him got up and struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword,(B) killing the one whom the king of Babylon had appointed(C) as governor over the land.(D) 3 Ishmael also killed all the men of Judah who were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, as well as the Babylonian[a] soldiers who were there.
4 The day after Gedaliah’s assassination, before anyone knew about it,
