12 And I will take the remnant of Judah that [a]have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt there to dwell, and they shall all be consumed and fall in the land of Egypt: they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die from the least unto the most, by the sword, and by the famine and they shall be a detestation and an astonishment, and a [b]curse and a reproach.

13 For I will visit them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have visited Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence,

14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to dwell there shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah to the which they [c]have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but [d]such as shall escape.

12 I will take away the remnant(A) of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or die from famine. From the least to the greatest,(B) they will die by sword or famine.(C) They will become a curse and an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach.(D) 13 I will punish(E) those who live in Egypt with the sword,(F) famine and plague,(G) as I punished Jerusalem. 14 None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.”(H)
