18 But since we stopped burning [a]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have (A)lacked everything, and have met our end by the sword and by famine.” 19 “And,” said the women, “when we were (B)burning [b]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and [c]pouring out drink offerings to her, was it (C)without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes [d]in her image, and poured out drink offerings to her?”

20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men and women—even to all the people who were giving him such an answer—saying,

18 But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings(A) to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine.(B)”
19 The women added, “When we burned incense(C) to the Queen of Heaven(D) and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands(E) know that we were making cakes(F) impressed with her image(G) and pouring out drink offerings to her?”
20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, both men and women, who were answering him,
