25 thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: ‘As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying, “We will (A)certainly perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” [a](B)Go ahead and establish your vows, and certainly perform your vows!’ 26 [b]Nevertheless, hear the word of Yahweh, all Judah who are living in the land of Egypt, ‘Behold, I have (C)sworn by My great name,’ says Yahweh, ‘(D)never shall My name be called upon again by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “(E)As Lord Yahweh lives.” 27 Behold, I am watching over them (F)for [c]evil and not for good, and (G)all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will [d]meet their end by the sword and by famine until they [e]are completely consumed.

25 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You and your wives(A) have done what you said you would do when you promised, ‘We will certainly carry out the vows we made to burn incense and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.’(B)

“Go ahead then, do what you promised! Keep your vows!(C) 26 But hear the word of the Lord, all you Jews living in Egypt:(D) ‘I swear(E) by my great name,’ says the Lord, ‘that no one from Judah living anywhere in Egypt will ever again invoke my name or swear, “As surely as the Sovereign(F) Lord lives.”(G) 27 For I am watching(H) over them for harm,(I) not for good; the Jews in Egypt will perish(J) by sword and famine(K) until they are all destroyed.(L)
