So My anger was poured out and burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. And they have been destroyed and laid waste, as they are today. Now this is what the Lord God of All, the God of Israel, says: “Why are you hurting yourselves so much? Why are you cutting off from Judah man and woman, child and baby, and leaving yourselves without anyone? You are making Me angry with the works of your hands. You burn special perfume to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to live. And so you will be cut off and become a curse and a shame among all the nations of the earth.

Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out;(A) it raged against the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins(B) they are today.

“Now this is what the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Why bring such great disaster(C) on yourselves by cutting off from Judah the men and women,(D) the children and infants, and so leave yourselves without a remnant?(E) Why arouse my anger with what your hands have made,(F) burning incense(G) to other gods in Egypt,(H) where you have come to live?(I) You will destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse[a] and an object of reproach(J) among all the nations on earth.
