Jeremiah 44:7-9

7 And now thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil (A)against yourselves, to cut off from you (B)man and woman, (C)infant and child, from the midst of Judah, leaving you no remnant? 8 (D)Why do you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, (E)making offerings to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have come to live, so that you may be cut off and become (F)a curse and a taunt among all the nations of the earth? 9 Have you forgotten the evil of your fathers, (G)the evil of the kings of Judah, (H)the evil of their[a] wives, your own evil, (I)and the evil of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

7 “Now this is what the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Why bring such great disaster(A) on yourselves by cutting off from Judah the men and women,(B) the children and infants, and so leave yourselves without a remnant?(C) 8 Why arouse my anger with what your hands have made,(D) burning incense(E) to other gods in Egypt,(F) where you have come to live?(G) You will destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse[a] and an object of reproach(H) among all the nations on earth. 9 Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your ancestors(I) and by the kings(J) and queens(K) of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives(L) in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem?(M)
