Jeremiah 48:30-32
New Catholic Bible
30 I am fully aware of her arrogance, says the Lord;
her boasts are false, her deeds are false.
31 Therefore, I wail over Moab;
I cry out in anguish for all of Moab;
I mourn for the men of Kir-heres.
32 More than for Jazer I weep for you,
O vineyard of Sibmah.
Your branches stretched beyond the sea,
reaching all the way to Jazer.
Upon your harvest and your vintage,
the despoiler has descended.
Jeremiah 48:30-32
New International Version
30 I know her insolence but it is futile,”
declares the Lord,
“and her boasts(A) accomplish nothing.
31 Therefore I wail(B) over Moab,
for all Moab I cry out,
I moan for the people of Kir Hareseth.(C)
32 I weep for you, as Jazer(D) weeps,
you vines of Sibmah.(E)
Your branches spread as far as the sea[a];
they reached as far as[b] Jazer.
The destroyer has fallen
on your ripened fruit and grapes.
