³³And Asor shall be a habitation for dragons, desolate for ever: no man shall abide there, nor son of man inhabit it.

³⁴The word of the Lord that came to Jeremias the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, saying:

³⁵Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will break the bow of Elam, and their chief strength.

³³“Hazor^(A) will become a haunt of jackals,^(B)
a desolate^(C) place forever.
No one will live there;
no people will dwell^(D) in it.”

³⁴This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam,^(E) early in the reign of Zedekiah^(F) king of Judah:

³⁵This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“See, I will break the bow^(G) of Elam,
the mainstay of their might.
