⁹ Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and ^(A)breathe on these slain, that they ^(B)come to life.”’”

² Daniel ^[a]said, “I was ^(A)looking in my vision by night, and behold, the ^(B)four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.

⁸ Then the male goat magnified himself exceedingly. But as soon as ^(A)he was mighty, the ^(B)large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the ^(C)four winds of heaven.

⁶ “^[a]Ho there! ^(A)Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “for I have ^(B)dispersed you as the four winds of the heavens,” declares the Lord.

An Interlude

7 After this I saw ^(A)four angels standing at the ^(B)four corners of the earth, holding back ^(C)the four winds of the earth, ^(D)so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
