12 They have contradicted the Lord
and insisted, “It won’t happen.[a](A)
Harm won’t come to us;
we won’t see sword or famine.”
13 The prophets become only wind,
for the Lord’s word is not in them.
This will in fact happen to them.

15 Were they ashamed when they acted so detestably?
They weren’t at all ashamed.
They can no longer feel humiliation.(E)
Therefore, they will fall among the fallen.
When I punish them, they will collapse,(F)
says the Lord.
