41 How Sheshak[a](A) has been captured,(B)
the praise(C) of the whole earth seized.
What a horror Babylon has become
among the nations!(D)
42 The sea has risen over Babylon;(E)
she is covered with its tumultuous waves.
43 Her cities have become a desolation,(F)
an arid desert,
a land where no one lives,
where no human being even passes through.

its roaring waves(D) will cover her.
43 Her towns will be desolate,
a dry and desert(E) land,
a land where no one lives,
