41 How Babylon is fallen—great Babylon, lauded by all the earth! The world can scarcely believe its eyes at Babylon’s fall! 42 The sea has risen upon Babylon; she is covered by its waves. 43 Her cities lie in ruins—she is a dry wilderness where no one lives nor even travelers pass by.

New International Version
41 “How Sheshak[a](A) will be captured,(B)
the boast of the whole earth seized!
How desolate(C) Babylon will be
among the nations!
42 The sea will rise over Babylon;
its roaring waves(D) will cover her.
43 Her towns will be desolate,
a dry and desert(E) land,
a land where no one lives,
through which no one travels.(F)
