⁴⁹Babylon must fall for the slain of Israel,

⁴⁹“Babylon must fall because of Israel’s slain,
just as the slain in all the earth
have fallen because of Babylon.^(A)

⁶And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of the witnesses to Jesus.

When I saw her, I was greatly amazed.^(A)

⁶I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people,^(A) the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
