11 Then he ·put out Zedekiah’s eyes [blinded the eyes of Zedekiah], and put bronze chains on him, and took him to Babylon. And the king kept Zedekiah in prison there until the day he died.

12 Nebuzaradan, commander of the king’s special guards and servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem on the tenth day of the fifth month. This was in Nebuchadnezzar’s nineteenth year as king of Babylon [C August 17, 586 bc]. 13 Nebuzaradan set fire to the ·Temple [L house] of the Lord, the ·palace [L house of the king], and all the houses of Jerusalem; every ·important building [L great/big house] was burned.

12 On the tenth day of the fifth(B) month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan(C) commander of the imperial guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 13 He set fire(D) to the temple(E) of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses(F) of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.
