12 (A)Their houses shall be turned over to others,
their fields and wives together,
for I will stretch out my hand
against the inhabitants of the land,”
declares the Lord.
13 (B)“For from the least to the greatest of them,
everyone (C)is greedy for unjust gain;
and from (D)prophet to priest,
everyone deals falsely.
14 They have healed the wound of my people lightly,
saying, (E)‘Peace, peace,’
(F)when there is no peace.
15 (G)Were they ashamed when they committed abomination?
No, they were not at all ashamed;
they did not know how to blush.
Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;
(H)at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown,”
says the Lord.

against those who live in the land,”
declares the Lord.
13 “From the least to the greatest,
all(D) are greedy for gain;(E)
prophets and priests alike,
all practice deceit.(F)
14 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
‘Peace, peace,’ they say,
when there is no peace.(G)
15 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct?
No, they have no shame at all;
they do not even know how to blush.(H)
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when I punish(I) them,”
says the Lord.
