8 “Behold, you are trusting in (A)lying words to no avail. 9 Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear while lying, and (B)burn incense to Baal and walk after (C)other gods that you have not known, 10 then (D)come and stand before Me in (E)this house, which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—that you may do all these abominations?

8 But look, you are trusting(A) in deceptive(B) words that are worthless.
9 “‘Will you steal(C) and murder,(D) commit adultery(E) and perjury,[a](F) burn incense to Baal(G) and follow other gods(H) you have not known, 10 and then come and stand(I) before me in this house,(J) which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?(K)
