Jeremiah 7:9-11
Contemporary English Version
9 You steal and murder; you lie in court and are unfaithful in marriage. You worship idols and offer incense to Baal, when these gods have never done anything for you. 10 And then you come into my temple and worship me! Do you think I will protect you so that you can go on sinning? 11 (A) You are thieves, and you have made my temple your hideout. But I've seen everything you have done.

New International Version
9 “‘Will you steal(A) and murder,(B) commit adultery(C) and perjury,[a](D) burn incense to Baal(E) and follow other gods(F) you have not known, 10 and then come and stand(G) before me in this house,(H) which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?(I) 11 Has this house,(J) which bears my Name, become a den of robbers(K) to you? But I have been watching!(L) declares the Lord.
