GOD’S WORD Translation
9 You steal, murder, commit adultery, lie when you take oaths, burn incense as an offering to Baal, and run after other gods that you do not know. 10 Then you stand in my presence in the house that is called by my name. You think that you’re safe to do all these disgusting things. 11 The house that is called by my name has become a gathering place for thieves. I have seen what you are doing,’ ” declares the Lord.

9 “‘Will you steal(A) and murder,(B) commit adultery(C) and perjury,[a](D) burn incense to Baal(E) and follow other gods(F) you have not known, 10 and then come and stand(G) before me in this house,(H) which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?(I) 11 Has this house,(J) which bears my Name, become a den of robbers(K) to you? But I have been watching!(L) declares the Lord.
