Jeremiah 8:18-20

18 My grief is beyond healing; my heart is broken. 19 Listen to the weeping of my people all across the land.
“Where is the Lord?” they ask. “Has God deserted us?”
“Oh, why have they angered me with their carved idols and strange evil rites?” the Lord replies.
20 “The harvest is finished; the summer is over, and we are not saved.”

18 You who are my Comforter[a] in sorrow,
my heart is faint(A) within me.
19 Listen to the cry of my people
from a land far away:(B)
“Is the Lord not in Zion?
Is her King(C) no longer there?”
20 “The harvest is past,
the summer has ended,
and we are not saved.”
