¹⁴ but have ^(A)walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the ^(B)Baals, as their ^(C)fathers taught them,”

¹¹ Then you are to say to them, ‘It is ^(A)because your forefathers have forsaken Me,’ declares the Lord, ‘and have followed ^(B)other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. ¹² You too have done evil, even ^(C)more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the ^(D)stubbornness of his own ^(E)evil heart, without listening to Me.

¹⁸ “I said to their ^[a](A)children in the wilderness, ‘^(B)Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

²⁴ because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were ^[a]on the idols of their fathers.

³⁰ Therefore, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Will you defile yourselves ^[a]after the manner of your ^(A)fathers and play the harlot after their detestable things?
