A wayfarers’ lodging place;
That I might leave my people
And go from them!

² There is ^(A)swearing, ^(B)deception, ^(C)murder, ^(D)stealing and ^(E)adultery.
They employ violence, so that ^(F)bloodshed ^[a]follows bloodshed.
³ Therefore the land ^(G)mourns,
And everyone who lives in it languishes
Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky,
And also the fish of the sea ^[b]disappear.
